Beryl and I met in 2002 at a newly formed meditation group in Sidmouth, where we had both recently moved.  She made room for me on her bench and by the end of the evening we were friends. She was so easy to talk.  When she moved away some years later i felt bereft but we kept in touch and once she was back in Devon we could meet easily again.  Our favourite thing was to meet, about once a month, in Exeter on a Saturday morning about 8.00am - we could use our bus passes on Saturday before 9.30! We would walk through the quiet streets to The Boston Tea Party and have a breakfast and coffee and catch up.  Im sad that for the past few years, since i moved back to Gloucester, our meetings have been infrequent but we have kept in touch.  Our last meeting was in Totnes, 5 years ago where we had lunch and sat by the river in the sun.  I will remember that.  Since then phone calls and WhatsApp have kept communication going.  I am happy and lucky that I have known such a good friend.
